This past weekend at the raton thunder 1.64 mile challenge, new Cold Bore World Records were set by our team.
About the cold bore world record...
The Cold Bore World Record is the only record that is tracked and recognized in Extreme Long Range shooting competitions. These matches are sanctioned by the official governing body, ELR CENTRAL. Both rifle and shooter must be cold with these shots being the first of the day. Shooter must hit 3/3 at specifed range at a 36" target. Derek Love (also a team CEB shooter) was the previous world record holder at 2,585yds.
On day 1, CEB Team member Glenn Swaggart set the new Cold Bore World Record at 2,653 using our LZR 416 500 MAX bullet! Glenn is shown here with Clay Rhoden who validates the ELR world records.
On Day 2, a mere 24 hours later, the Cold Bore World Record was broken AGAIN by Chris Schmidt at 2,874yds! This makes Chris the current holder of this title.
Chris is shown here with Clay Rhoden who validates the ELR world records.
Chris was using our LZR 416 550 MAX out of his 416 Schmidt built by Warner Tool.
Congratulation to both Chris and his spotter Jay Monych on this record breaking performance!
