UNPARALLELED TERMINAL PERFORMANCE.
Let customers speak for us
from 1527 reviewsShot a bull elk at 225yds with a 7SS (Sherman Shortmag) using the 160g Lazers going 3035fps. Bull went five yards and dropped. Terminal performance was outstanding, pinhole through the front shoulder (quartering to) and liquified all the vitals. No meat was damaged. I’ll be trying the 145g next. Really wish there was a lighter weight (130-140) version of the single feed Lazers for the .308
Dropped 250 lbs plus hog in its tracks at 100yds.
These bullets are awesome, I got a load worked up for my 7 Mag, pushing these 3150 FPS and printing 0.5" groups at 100yds. Conveniently, we spotted this bull through some thick burned timber and I made a single shot on him at 67 yards which hit him in front of the shoulder in his neck and spine, which was the only portion of his body that I could see cleanly. He died right there and didn't take a step. We also found the bullet while quartering the elk, photo attached. The petals came off as advertised and the mass of the bullet travelled through spine and stopped in the other side of his hide.
100 yard test group with Retumbo. Hard to beat!
Another fantastic offering from CEB. Good luck finding a more accurate bullet in your wheelgun than the Raptor. I’ve tried and this is it. I shoot them in .44, .454, and soon will be in .500Linebaugh. Keep up the good work guys!
Took tuskless elephant in Zimbabwe with CEB ,458 450 gr Safari Solid. Two shots, both complete passthrough of elephant head. Muzzle velocity of 2310 fps from .458 Winchester Magnum. Could load to higher velocity but that is unnecesary.
I used cutting edge lazers 265 gr 338 in my stock savage 110 ba stealth 24" barrel. ended up with 1 first place and 1 second place in rookie light at spearpoint ranch. with a second place rookie for the over all season.
I used cutting edge lazer 500 gr 416 bullets in my 416 stroker for rookie elr heavy class. won first place in 3 matches second place in 2 matches and third place last match of the season and won first in over all season at spearpoint ranch.
I have tried A-Max and Barnes solids. The Cutting Edge Lasers have become my favorite for long distance. They retain the most weight to drive through and the copper is pretty tough. I Molly coat them before loading. The Molly seems to keep my pressure signs under control with the loads I am using and helps my brass life. I have these 750 grain Lasers coming out at 2750 fps and they fly true for a very long way. At long distance I am using the same drop chart that I was with the A-Max rounds at 2750fps. There is not much difference, so I believe the BC is pretty close to that of tha A-Max. I believe the Laser is more aerodynamic but it is shorter than the A-Max. So I feel it balances out the BC. (It would be nice to have the BC published at some point to know what it is.) Being shorter than the A-Max it should have a slight bit less wind interference from a full 90 cross wind? Great projectiles, please continue to produce the 750 grain Lasers.
These are really well made, solid and precisely cut. They load well and are decently accurate (I'm using a short barrel lever action in 500 S&W with a slow twist and not getting as much spin on these as I probably should to get them stable, so my accuracy is probably subpar to a normal barrel rifle with a higher twist.)
In all, very happy with this bullet/round and will be ordering more once I work up a good recipe 👍
I compete in ELR matches throughout the year. I shoot a 460 Steyr which uses the.458 grain bullets. I tried other solid bullets but they didn’t produce the same quality and result that I needed for consistent accuracy. I switched midway thru the season this year to the 650 grain Lazers. They are amazing for consistency and accuracy.
Completed my Canada NWT Mt. Caribou hunt using this bullet in 7mm PRC on Impact Precision Action by Walls Rifles. Took a monster 424 B&C bull with NWT Outfitters and this bullet performed excellent. The internal damage was impressive dropping the Caribou in its tracks. The Lazer Tipped bullets are consistent, accurate and great hunting bullets. Only using cutting edge in all my rifles now.
From coyotes to Cape buffalo Cutting Edge Bullets are deadly
Im shooting these in my custom reamer 22-277fury. They are doing 3725fps and shoot around a 6 standard deviation in a 1:6.5 twist barrel. Love them.
I tried to develop a load for my 460 Steyr with another brand of solid bullets with no success. Best group I could achieve was about 1-1/2” and that is unacceptable in ELR. After talking with Samantha and Dan I ordered some 600g Lazers. With only one trip to the range I had a load that was excellent. 7 Es 2.5 Sd and .58” groups. Bullet is .458”. Went and shot the best match that I ever had with the gun for two reasons 1- most impacts 2- won 1st place. I have had impacts out to 3300 yards since.
