Do not be alarmed; any parts you purchase that are TRUE MIL-SPEC appear this way.

Extremely well made extractor.

Bought this as a replacement for a friend's AR that was having extraction issues. This one is a little pricey compared to others, but most places charge $10 shipping so it comes out even. The slot that grabs the case rim is a true 90 degree edge. No chance of slipping off the spent case. Top notch part, better than Mil-Spec.
