This .504" diameter 485 grain Safari Raptor™ non-conventional (NonCon) brass solid hunting bullet is designed the .505 Gibbs. Design incorporates 3 + 1 band configuration for reduced barrel strain. Instead of mushrooming, six petals shear off starting at 3" of penetration and gradually move in a star pattern away from the main wound channel while the base continues on for even deeper penetration.

I used this bullet in Africa in 2017 on a number of animals including a 1300 pound Roan antelope. I shot it offhand at about 70 yards as it ran across in front of me. I hit high on the shoulder, it stumbled, ran 30 yards and fell, dead. The bullet passed completely through and was not recovered. I shot four other animals with it and all were one shot kills including a large warthog I shot in the jaw as it faced me. The bullet passed through the animal lengthwise and it dropped in its tracks.
