A minimum impact velocity of 1400fps is required for the hollow point to function as intended.

Pushing them at 3000 FPS out of my 458 B&M. This bullet is extremely accurate with minimal drop out past 300 yards. Penetration is straight and deep in test media. This should be a great bullet for anything that walks or breaths except Buff, Hippo & Elephant. Their expensive but with the cost of some hunts their well worth it. For Buff the 420 Raptor and Elephant & Hippo the 450 #13 Solids are hard to beat.
