Great bullets excited to try them on cape buffalo and other African game next year.

I'm so sorry for the error. I wasn't able to find any emails about the missing Raptor tips but we will get those sent right out to you!

Just back from SA Safari chasing Cape Buffalo and some larger plains game May, 2023. Had worked up a Varget load to get the 400 grain Safari Solid going 2322 fps and shooting right on at 100 yds. Due to supply issues could not find any matching Swift Aframes as suggested by my PH so CE support suggested I try the 370 grain Safari Raptors. Using the same Varget load as I used for the Solid, I quickly had them both shooting with 1/2’ at 100yds from my 1992 Win Model 70 Safari Express. My PH gave me a quizzical look when I showed up with the CE bullets but was happy they shot well at the range on Day 1. On-game performance was a personal unknown until I first took a 39” cow Gemsbuck trophy in the front right shoulder at 100 yds - she ran 20 yds and piled up. We found the shank in her left hip and the petals had turned her organs to jelly - she was literally draining more blood than we ever recall seeing. On the 1756 lb Cape buffalo, I had to shoot through a gap in the trees at 53 yards into the Buff’s high neck (all I could see) - he dropped but tried to get up - a second round into his quartering-to right shoulder took out his heart and he dropped again. He was still and quiet before our tracker smoked half his cigarette. Net distance travelled = 2 yds. Again, blood ran like a river out his nose and his heart and surrounding area was heavily hemorrhaged and turned to jelly. We found the shank in his left rear hip. Net net on Africa dangerous game and heavy plains game - great accuracy out of a factory gun (400 grain Safari Solid and 370 Safari Raptor shoot to well within 1 MOA), they are a joy to reload and on-game performance for me was excellently devastating. Not completely sure how they work but I will not move the winner and will hunt with them again no questions asked.
