The 240gr Maximus performed well in his .45 muzzleloader for my son on a nice mule deer buck.

Have worked up loads for the 240gr Maximus in a Savage/custom .45 smokeless muzzleloader w/ 1:20 twist. I have to knurl, then anneal them, and I am able to shoot sub-MOA. At 2350 fps muzzle velocity and the .285 BC, it's looking like they will have enough energy for up to 400 yd. shots on deer. I have previously used 195gr solids in Harvester sabots with good results but will plan to try these during deer season to get more range for me and my 14 year old son.

Im still waiting on my 45 cal bullets season starts in two weeks here. Would be nice to have them or send mt money back

These were very accurate when shot with reduced loads but anything more than 90 grains by volume of bh209 and they would fly wild. I assume gasses are passing the sabot and causing flyers. I am going to experiment more with them and see if I can come up with a solution because they are the bullet I want to shoot.

Did not have any luck with my purchase. Could not get the 45 cal muzzleloader bullets to group. Tried them in my CVA paramount with 1/22 twist but would not stabilize. I changed the sabots to the Mmp white ones and did not make a difference. I love the bullet but would not group for me. Had to use a competitors all copper bullet.
