After reading an article on the Handgun Hunting blog written by Chris Rhodes, I decided to try these bullets in my 375 JDJ. Load 200gr HG Raptor bullets for TC Encore single shot rifle in 375win (24" bl) & Win94 Big Bore 375win (20" bl). Developed load with W296 powder--despite naysayers, with care, W296 is great in 375 win. Fast, nice groups, & HG Raptor cycles in Win94. I was worried about deformation of bullet nose, but load fine in side loading gate and bullets blunt enough for tube mag. I got HG Raptor specifically to cycle in lever action and lead free hunting load. I use 175gr Maximus in my Encore. I hope CE adds a lighter 180gr Keith style copper wadcutter to .375 caliber range. A nice 180gr high meplat blunt HP semi-wadcutter bullet for hunting. I'd use lighter blunt nose bullet in my lever action & single shot. . . .
Although I haven't had a chance to shoot anything with them yet , they are impressive looking bullets , very finely made. Can't wait to shoot a buck with the Winchester 94 in 375 !
Called looking for a .375 bullet to use in a Winchester model 94 lever action to go hunting with. I live in California and we have to use non lead ammo to hunt. Customer service recommended the 200 gr handgun Raptor. Loaded a few rounds, test fired them and they worked great. Customer service rep was very knowledgeable of the bullets they offer.
