Our MTH line is machined out of lead free solid copper bar stock on a CNC lathe. These are a high BC, expanding bullet designed for hunting at all ranges. A unique feature of this bullet is our patented SealTite™ band which is a band slightly larger than caliber diameter around the bullet which was designed to eliminate fliers by preventing gas blow-by. The SealTite™ band also decreases copper fouling which is typically associated with mono metal bullets.

Our MTH® line is machined out of lead free solid copper bar stock on a CNC lathe. These are a high BC, expanding bullet designed for hunting at all ranges. These bullets do not mushroom, but instead, fracture. After 1-2" of penetration, 3-4 petals will break off and radiate outward from the main wound channel about 2-3" creating massive trauma.

They will expand down to 1600fps.

The required twist rate for this bullet is 1:10" or faster.

I loaded some of your 145 MTH .284 bullets for my 7mm Rem. Mag. for a CA hog hunt. After some load development I came up with a load that shot consistently under .5 MOA, utilizing new Norma brass with the flash holes deburred and uniformed, H-1000 powder, and Federal 215 GM primers. I loaded the bullets so I got an overall cartridge length of 3.2902".

The first morning of the hunt we spotted a decent sized boar feeding on a flat spot of the hillside 125 yards below us the downhill angle being approx. 45 degrees. By the time I got my shooting sticks set up and got on the pig he had shifted positions and was facing directly towards us with his head down. I waited a few minutes until he shifted position a little and was quartering slightly to my left, still feeding with his head down. I placed my shot at the junction of the neck and the body, the boar immediately dropped, kicked for about 45 seconds to a minute and then was still.

The bullet had entered right at the junction of the neck and body. We estimated the boar's live body weight to be in the 220 lb. range. Later as we were breaking the boar down we confirmed the bullet had impacted on the spine, smashing the spine and driven some fragments of bullet and bone into the top of the right shoulder.

Under these circumstances the bullet had performed perfectly, although honestly any bullet that would have severed the spine would have resulted in an almost instant kill. I'll give the bullet a rating of four stars, since at this point I cannot say how your bullet might have performed on a more difficult shot, say a quartering shot into the shoulder itself, or a racking shot from the rear where the bullet would have had to contend with the boar's gristle shield and rib cage.
