This Flat Base Raptor™ was designed to be magazine fed in AR-15 style rifles. They DO NOT come with Raptor Tips™. These bullets are manufactured out of solid brass bar stock on a CNC Swiss style lathe.
The BBW#13 nose profile has proven to provide the deepest penetration of any nose profile to date. Instead of mushrooming, these hollow points are designed so that after 1-2" of penetration, 6 blades shear off and radiate outward in a start pattern while the base continues on for even deeper penetration.
A minimum impact velocity of 1500fps is required for the hollow point to function as intended.
The required twist rate for this bullet is 1:11" or faster. These bullets are not recommended for use in rifles with a twist faster than 1-6".
