These are a high BC, expanding bullet designed for hunting at all ranges. A unique feature of this bullet is our patented SealTite® band which is a band slightly larger than caliber diameter around the bullet which was designed to eliminate fliers by preventing gas blow-by.
Our MTH line is machined out of lead free solid copper bar stock on a CNC lathe. These are a high BC, expanding bullet designed for hunting at all ranges. A unique feature of this bullet is our patented SealTite® band which is a band slightly larger than caliber diameter around the bullet which was designed to eliminate fliers by preventing gas blow-by. The SealTite® band also decreases copper fouling which is typically associated with mono metal bullets.
These bullets do not mushroom, but instead, fracture. After 1-2" of penetration, 3-4 petals will break off and radiate outward from the main wound channel about 2-3" creating massive trauma. They will expand down to 1600fps.
This Match Tactical Hunting bullet was designed for magazine feeding in all rifles.
The required twist rate for this bullet is 1:14" or faster.

First time using these bullets this year. .224 Hammer Flat Base 40 Gr. I loaded them up in Winchester brass with Winchester SR Primers in front of 11.0 Gr of IMR 4227. Excellent accuracy out of my Savage chambered in 22 Hornet. A small center fire cartridge. I used it to take 2 Blacktail bucks this year. The Hammer bullets performed exceptionally well. Quick Clean kills.
I’ve been looking for a bullet suitable for 5.7x28 and 22 Hornet that will give better penetration than the usual run of ‘varmint’ bullets that seem to be compressed copper or lead dust. I’ve had very good results with Cutting Edge bullets in the past and decided to try these 40g MTH hollow points. They have turned to be my favorites for both calibers, producing very good accuracy even in the 1:16 twist barrel of my 22 Hornet rifle. I’m very pleased with the results and fairly pleased with the price as well. The solid base provides the penetration depth I was looking for and the petals are easy enough to find and fish out of game animals (unlike the powdered fillers in most bullet designs at this weight, with somewhat better results that 32g MTH on larger animals such as coyotes.

I clocked these at 3550 FPS out of my 16”. Fastest load out of anything I have. Got about 2 MOA doing it too.
