Are your groups not quite up to par? Try these to tighten your groups up!

1. Try Different Powders
This is the first thing we recommend doing. If using heavy for caliber mag feed bullets a slightly faster powder may be required due to case capacity being taken up by the bullet. We have powder/load recommendations we can provide you with, so please don't hesitate to reach out to us!

2. Measure Bullet Runout
We've found that runout can cause a big difference in accuracy. To get the most accuracy, runout should ideally be within .003".
We highly recommend the Fli Rite concentricity gage made by Premier accuracy as a great way to check and correct concentricity issues.
Another issue could be your brass. You may need to switch to a higher quality brass, or anneal your brass and resize it to straighten the necks. We recommend an AMP Annealer. It's extremely user friendly and fast.

3. Play With Seating Depth
We recommend .020-.030" jump of the SealTite™ band into the chamber throat. Adjusting seating depth may help tighten up your groups. The image below shows the range of seating depth options for our bullets. You can seat them with the SealTite™ band anywhere between +.150" or -.150".

4. Clean Your Barrel
Sometimes cleaning your barrel can make a big difference in accuracy. Our preferred cleaning agents are Wipe Out Patch Out and Wipe Out Accelerator due to their ease of use. They are also considerably less messy than other cleaners on the market.

After trying these suggestions, you should notice an improvement in your groupings. If you still need help, please send us an email at support@cuttingedgebullets.com or fill out our contact form and we will get with you ASAP!
