We have offered an extensive number of bullet lines to fill every need, but the one thing that was missing was a bullet Designed for high BC AND high trauma. The Maximus® line is a hybrid between CEB’s high BC MTH (Match/Tactical/Hunting)® line and their high trauma Raptor™ line, filling in the missing piece of the CEB product line offering.

This particular Maximus® bullet features a boat tail profile and offering it exceptional BC as well as incredible terminal performance; after 1-2" of penetration, 4 larger blades will break off and radiate outward. They will function down to 1400fps.

They feature a sleek, smooth profile and feature our unique SealTite® Band. This patented technology is a band slightly larger than caliber diameter around the body of the bullet which creates a complete seal as the bullet exits the case and maintains that seal until it exits the barrel. This in turn increases accuracy by eliminating gas blow-by and decreasing copper fouling.

The Maximus® line has also been designed to be heavier than the Raptor series making them more appealing to traditional, lead core bullet users.

If this was the bullet (or one of its 'relatives' that was used but one of our hunting party on a huge, problem bear in Alaska, where it tipped a 444 Marlin cartridge, and delivered a devastating kill..... then I would say buy as many as you can afford. If this is the bullet that has a center mass that keeps on going, while the petals of the hollow point break off and act like a bush hog, then the locomotive reputation the 444 has is true. I was in a tree stand 50 yards away and heard the bullet hit. Like the crack of a whip, followed by the thud of a sledgehammer.
